AI-Informed, Not AI-Replaced: How I Use AI to Work Smarter (and How Your Team Can Too)

Using AI in my day-to-day doesn't replace my skill — it clears the small, repetitive tasks so I can focus on the strategy that actually moves marketing forward. Here's exactly where AI fits into my workflow, and where I'd point you and your team to start using it too.

What "AI-informed" actually means

AI-informed means using AI as a tool to work more efficiently, not as a replacement for thinking. The strategy, the judgement calls, and communication stay entirely human — AI just takes the slower, more mechanical parts of the job off my plate, which means more of my time goes into the big-picture thinking that actually earns results.

Where I use AI day to day

  • Research — pulling together industry context, competitor activity, and trend summaries in minutes instead of hours

  • First drafts — content outlines, campaign briefs, and reporting templates that I then edit, rewrite, and fact-check properly

  • Reporting — turning raw performance numbers into actionable metrics I can refine and translate for you

None of this replaces the thinking — it just means the thinking starts sooner, making both your budget and my time go further.

Where AI doesn't get a say

  • Strategic direction and prioritisation

  • Anything involving your brand's actual voice or tone

  • Judgement calls, planning and next steps on how to optimise performance.

  • Final sign-off on anything client-facing

If a task needs real judgement, it stays with me — AI is a tool I use, not a decision-maker I defer to.

Where your team could start

If you're wondering where to dip a toe in, start small:

  • Use AI to summarise long reports or research before a meeting, not to write the strategy itself

  • Draft first-pass social captions or email copy or blogs, then have a real person edit it into your actual voice

  • Speed up reporting — let AI do the first structuring pass, then interpret and prioritise the findings yourself

  • Help team meetings stay on track;  record, summarise and share actions.

The goal isn't doing less thinking — it's spending less time on the parts that don't need a person, so there's more time for the parts that do.
